Brazeau Loop in Jasper

The Jonas Pass - Brazeau Lake Loop is one of Jasper National Park’s premier backpacking trips. The Loop features three incredible passes, including the second highest trail pass in the park, a number of impressive glaciers, the headwaters of the Brazeau River and the vast alpine meadows
that drape this remote area.

The Loop follows ancient trails that were once used by indigenous peoples and later by trappers and mountain men. Wildlife viewing opportunities are abundant as the area is home to caribou, grizzly bear, elk, moose, wolves, various birds of prey and other mountain wildlife.

This is a tent based trip. Tents are provided (3-men tent per two people) or you can bring your own.

Fitness level:
You will need to be an experienced hiker with a good fitness level, capable of walking in the hills several days in a row. You will be carrying all your equipment including the tent, sleeping bag and some food (up to 50lbs).
